Kwanasia Electronics Co., Ltd. was founded in 1986 as one of the well-respectable electronics manufacturers in Hong Kong. In 1992, Kwanasia joined with Jetcrown Industrial Ltd. and formally became a subsidiary of the NASDAQ-listed Deswell Industries Inc. (stock coded DSWL)

From day one the company was established, Kwanasia devoted its resources and expertise to facilitate the manufacture of turnkey electronic products. In 1989 Kwanasia inaugurated its first Joint Venture manufacturing plant at Nanshan District (located in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, China). Under this Sino-foreign joint venture, the manufacturing plant was formally named "Shenzhen Kwanasia Electronics Co., Ltd.".

Until 1995, the Shenzhen factory could no longer cope with the rapid and continuous business growth, a brand new manufacturing complex was built in DongGuan named "DongGuan Kwan Hong Electronics Co., Ltd.". By the end of 1998, a brand new 20,000 sq. meter factory building and additional 10,000 sq. meter dormitory were also laid down to accommodate the modern state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. All these developments have contributed to set a new milestone for Kwanasia on continuous blooming business in the upcoming future.
